The BESSUNGER LIGHTHOUSE is a memorial to commemorate Darmstadt's connection to the electrical network. It's not very big, but beautifully located on Freiberger Platz and is a meeting place for young and old. Not far from Freiberger Platz is the well-known Organgerie of Darmstadt. Adjacent to the Bessunger lighthouse there are several streets with excellent restaurants and bars. The Bessunger lighthouse is a popular geochaching destination.
