Bike Touring Highlight
Here in Altchemnitz the river Chemnitz is "sired", under this bridge from the union of the rivers Zwönitz (right arm, left) and Würschnitz (left arm, right).
According to Wikipedia, the Zwönitz springs in the Ore Mountains on the southwest edge of the Geyer plate between the cities Zwönitz and Elterlein and is so far 39 km long.
The Würschnitz rises as Beuthenbach on the border of the municipalities Grüna and Beutha in the middle Erzgebirge and is 29 km long.
The Chemnitz flows south of Wechselburg in the Zwickauer Mulde and is from here 37 km long.
