Philosophenweg - what a name for a simple forest path on the north side of the Tönsberg. It was one of the first footpaths laid out on the mountainside by the Oerlinghauser Beautification Association in 1891. The Philosophenweg reflects the zeitgeist of that era when people proudly called themselves “climate health resorts” and sent colorful postcards from the “summer resort of Oerlinghausen” all over the world.
