South of the Rotenbergshof on the district border in the Bauschlotter (Neulinger) district is the Diebsbrunnen, a rich spring with water flowing close to the surface. The filling is very different and varies between 1 and 15 l/s. From 1893 onwards, a water pipe over 3km long that ran through the Great Forest supplied the village of Sprantal, which always suffered from a lack of water, with drinking water. Today the spring water seeps into the large sinkhole right behind the spring intake
