The former manor house (from the 13th century) is a listed building, was restored at great expense and integrated into the landscape with great sensitivity.
It combines the rural idyll with the pleasant charisma of a modern and exclusively equipped hotel.History:
1944 - Last known landowners were expropriated.
From now on the house belonged to the municipality of Gustow
1946 - Refugee families from East Prussia and Pomerania
were quartered.1950 - Land reform
Men returned from war and captivity.
The land was divided between 12 families, 8-12 hectares per family.
At first, animals and machines were borrowed from neighbors until people were able to make purchases themselves.1960 - The land was expropriated from the families and was merged into the LPG
Men and women could find work there
The house fell into disrepair.
The rent at that time for 2 rooms/kitchen was 20 DM/month
Toilets were outside.
The old sheepfold fell into disrepair, was torn down and rebuilt on the old foundation.1982 - The roof of the manor house was getting worse and worse. It was raining and the rooms were damp.1989 - The turning point1990 - The Kajahn family visited a relative who lived in the house.
The house was for sale.
The former landowners waived their claim.
The house was bought by the Kajahn family
