On the west side of the Grabowsee, the hiking trail mostly runs close to the shore. If you want to walk around the lake, there is no direct way to cross the Stintgraben. You have to continue walking to the railway embankment of the former line from Oranienburg to Schmachtenhagen and cross the Stintgraben and the Bäke on this. You also cannot walk directly along the lake at the former Grabowsee lung sanatorium. The Malzer Weg takes you to the Grabowsee bridge and back to the lakeside path.
