A video room is hidden under the dome, which is covered with peat plagues, in which visitors can gain impressions of the nearby memorial of a former labor camp from the Second World War. However, this room is not open all the time!
In 2004 a small field railway was set up next to the peat dome. This railway is intended to remind of the development of the region and thus also of the village of Neugnadenfeld.

Neugnadenfeld was founded in 1946 on the site of a former prisoner-of-war camp as a collection point for displaced persons from the formerly German eastern territories, with the Moravian Brethren coordinating the development of the place. Neugnadenfeld is the youngest but also one of the most historic places in the county of Bentheim.

          Very interesting hill.
Right next to it are two old trains with hangers.
Unfortunately there are some chunks of peat next to it and you can see the substructure.
