This is a cycle path, built in place of a previous railway line, cut into the limestone typical of the entire Syracuse area. The view on the sea side is superb, while on the mountain side you often encounter run-down public housing. The contrast between immense nature and modern degradation or neglect is, however, a distinctive feature of the entire territory and is part of it, giving it a unique connotation.
