Hiking

We spend the night at the campsite near French Beach and enjoy the sunset. Access to the long sandy beach is via a wooden staircase. Large quantities of pebbles partially cover the beach, and countless washed-up logs lie on them.

Very nice wild but rocky beach with lots of washed up logs.

Unlike many rugged BC beaches, this one offers a perfect mix of soft sand and smooth, colorful pebbles. It is one of the best spots on Vancouver Island to spot gray whales during their migrations.
