Nagelfluh (rock)
The Nagelfluh is a geologically young conglomerate of eroded material from the Alps, in which river pebbles are bonded with a binding agent. The higher the lime content of the binder, the stronger the rock. The Nagelfluh of the Subalpine Molasse originated in the Tertiary.
