In 1961 the Hauschildt couple set up a private museum of local history, which is now owned by the community of Aukrug. The rooms show the rural living culture of the region from the 18th to the early 20th century. "Dat ole Hus" is particularly known for its waffles. It is open all year round on the weekend from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The route starts at the town house of Kellinghusen. Cycle in the direction of Rosdorf. Next you reach Rosdorf, which is located on Geesthang. On the way to Störkathen you drive through the 16 hectare nature and FFH protected area Störkathener Heide. Round 2 kilometer long path on an old morainic surface with inland dunes, dry and sand heaths as well as water-bearing hollows. And with luck, you might even spot a small heathland herd that helps the heath spread. As you follow the sturgeon northwards, you'll cycle through the tranquil village of Stork's Cats, which is full of beautiful and typical Katen cottages. In the small community Rotensande keep left and cross the sturgeon again. Past meadows and fields you cycle to Fitzbek, which you leave in a northerly direction and pass the mill creek. Follow the signposted route as far as Sarlhusen, which is well known for its fish farm and is just the place for a fresh smoked fish! The route continues over the Bünzener Au, which meanders through the forests, meadows and fields in the heart of the Aukrug Nature Park. You follow the number 10 at the golf course and come to Bargfeld. From there, you can get to the local museum Dat ole Hus in Aukrug-Bünzen, which also adorns the symbol of this route. The focal point of the small museum is a half-timbered Kate from 1804, who takes the visitor into the rural life of the last 200 years. The house is also known for its coffee offer with waffles and red groats as with grandma in the summer in the green garden. For antiques lovers, a detour to Aukrug Innien is worthwhile: The Ziegeleiweg road leads you to the L121. Stay on the L121 for a short while and then turn right in the direction of Homfeld to the foot of the 87.8 meter high Boxberg. Various paths lead up to the top, from where a beautiful view over rolling hills, bogs and lakes opens. From now on, the Geest is clearly noticeable the route leads up to Meezen, down to Poyenberg and continue uphill to the highest Geest of the district Hennstedt. Even in the distance, the 170 meter high TV tower marks the destination. Past an impressive landscape of woods and hedgerows, you will reach Hollenbek. Back at the starting point in Kellinghusen, it is worth taking a tour of the Keramikstadt.
