The Basilica of the Visitation was built on the crêt du Maure, a foothill of the Semnoz, and is visible from afar.
The basilica was built from 1909 to 1930 according to the plans of Grenoble architect Alfred-Henri Recoura, winner of the Prix de Rome, and inaugurated in 1949. It adjoins the Mother House of the Order of the Visitation, founded in 1610 by François de Sales and Jeanne de Chantal.

La basilique de la visitation is worth seeing in any case. It can also be reached from Annecy. Furthermore, this is a good starting point for beautiful walks. The PP on the square in front of the church is free.
