Awenne, situated on the slopes between the Lomme and its tributary the Masblette. The area surrounding the village is a true paradise for walkers. The parish church is worth a visit: in the interior you can see a statue of Saint Sebastian – originating from the church of Saint-Hubert. The beautiful wood carvings on the pulpit, confessionals and the Stations of the Cross are also worth admiring. Outside the church door you can see a bas-relief of Saint Martin, patron saint of Awenne.

The church is located on the Place des Sabotiers or the Clog Makers Square. In the past, quite a few residents earned a meagre living by making clogs.

A local circuit introduces you to the old workshops and 8 typical fountains of Awenne.
