The Schneppenhof, mentioned in the late 16th century, originally stood at a location a little further up the Rhine. The farm buildings, which were destroyed by lightning in 1797, were rebuilt at their current location.
The farm cross from 1737 was also set into the gable wall.
Baron von Boddlenberg, known as Kessel, whose estate buildings in Lülsdorf burned down in 1808, acquired the Schneppenhof farmstead and thus combined the Kesselsgut and the Schneppenhof. The farm was sold in 1863 and passed to the ancestors of the current owners.
