The Civic Tower, dating back to the 14th century, is the symbol of a free city. With a square shape and multiple coats of arms on the facade, in the past it housed Luca Signorelli's fresco "Madonna with Child and Saints" (1474), unfortunately removed in 1940 due to damage from time and earthquakes. Also known as the Bishop's Tower due to its proximity to the bishop's palace, a clock was added in 1397. From its top, you can admire the historic center, the green Montesca hill and the Tiber valley.

The Civic Tower dates back to the 14th century and is the true symbol of a free city. It has a square shape and displays multiple coats of arms on the facade. There is also traces of a small roof that once protected Luca Signorelli's fresco of the Madonna with Child and Saints. It was painted in 1474 but suffered serious damage from time and earthquakes and was finally removed in 1940. A fragment showing St. Paul can be seen in the municipal art gallery. The tower is also known as the Bishop's Tower because it is located next to the bishop's palace. On 13 July 1397 a clock was added. From the top of the tower we can admire the historic center of the city, the beautiful green hill of Montesca and look beyond the entire Tiber valley. At the moment it is not possible to visit it because construction works are underway.
