One of several stretches of boardwalk around the lake. In spring and summer it can be quite overgrown here and the reeds make the path feel a bit narrower with fewer open spaces where you can really see the water. In further stretches of boardwalk you can really get the feeling of almost walking on water because it is so open. Between almost all sections there are shelters with a picnic table, about five in total.

The largest natural inland lake in Flanders can be found in the nature reserve and provincial domain Het Vinne, in Zoutleeuw, in the province of Flemish Brabant. Here you can experience nature to the fullest thanks to the hiking trails, club paths, watchtowers and bird and hide huts. In this particularly child-friendly nature domain, with a playground, children can learn about the lake, its inhabitants and the heath-like vegetation while playing. In the Het Vinne visitor center you can reserve a GPS device for geocaching, which is also fun for teenagers. There are also numerous walks and cycling routes with nodes of the Grote Getevallei network.
