Tips
Until 1977/1978, there was a US Army missile launch base here, known as the Nike firing position Kleingartach. This base was a site for anti-aircraft missiles with nuclear warheads during the Cold War.The buildings of the launch base were dismantled in the 1980s and the area recultivated. Today, the information board commemorates this time and offers interesting insights into the history of the region.
