The Kappeler Alp is located at 1,340 meters altitude. From Kappel the route takes about one and a half hours. You have the choice between the difficult but most beautiful way through the Höllschlucht - which can be particularly problematic in winter - as well as the slightly simpler meadow path and a road that passes close to the Hündeleskopfhütte. Above you have a very nice view over the Ostallgäu and the Zugspitze. Overnight stays in the dormitory are possible at the hut.
