The 12.5 meter high tower was built on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Swabian Albverein in 1938. Previously, here was a wooden tower, which was created in 1892.
The key to the tower is available at the Volksbank or Café Morlock on Teckplatz.

I can't recommend it as a main destination, but you can take the tower with you for additional installation in a tour. There are additional highlights in the vicinity that you can also control. 🤗🖖

From the 12.5 meter high tower made of Plochingen Angulate sandstone you have a wonderful view over Schurwald, Neckar Valley and Swabian Alb. The tower is open on Sundays, on the other days the key is available in the Café Morlock opposite.
