The church is located on the spot where a church has stood from about the year 800. This first church was donated by Brunhold or Brunhilde to the German monastery Lorsch (Lauresham). The Village Church was initially dedicated to Saint Ursula.

The Reformation of the Vaassen church took a long time due to various circumstances. The first Protestant pastor was not appointed until the year 1610. This was partly due to the fact that the lords of the Vaassen castle de Cannenburch remained Roman Catholic and offered protection to the itinerant clergy.

A quite tall Stellingmolen. The story is available at daamsmolen.nl/de-molen

There is also a small café by the mill.

There are a few points here:
          1. Fountain, Peace, Freedom, Tolerance, Sirwan Raouf, 1997.
          2. Village church exterior with interiors, an organ and a stone tile.
          3. A mill opposite the church. Daams' Mill was built in 1870 for Derk Poll Jonker, who sold the mill in 1883 to his brother-in-law Herman Daams, the name giver of the mill. After Herman Daams there were a few more owners and, as was often the case at that time, wind energy was considered too unreliable and they quickly switched to other energy sources. In Vaassen, this resulted in Daams' Mill being almost completely dismantled in 1934 and after the sail cross had been removed, only the hull remained standing. This hull was provisionally covered with plastic to prevent water from entering. (mijngelderland.nl/)
4.Willem van Tongeren (1854-1942) peddler and kissiesman, Paul Akkerman, 1985. (vT was a peddler around 1900) Vaassen.
          5. an intersection further on: bells on a bank building.

Unfortunately, komoot's priorities for highlights are becoming increasingly unclear. Here, everything from one place has been combined, which means that the tips are not very helpful, but in other places, every meter of gravel path is a highlight in its own right (although there is both the path type on the map and Trailview).
