    The pond has a large outflow on the south side of the dam, plus a second, added later in 1834, on the north side. This became necessary because the amount of water discharged via an overflow was too low during very heavy flooding. For this additional water overflow, a 55 meter long tunnel had to be driven into the rock. In the meantime, this tunnel has developed into a refuge for bats
