Hiking
The tower was built between 1109 and 1119 by the family of the same name. 498 steps inside lead to the top at a height of 97.02 meters and offer a spectacular view of the city.
TORRE GARISENDA
The Torre Garisenda, built at the same time as the previous tower, is distinguished by its lower height of 47 meters. It is known for its steep overhang, caused by ground subsidence and the sinking of the foundation. Dante even mentioned it in the 31st Canto of his Inferno.
Both are currently (August 2026) closed due to restoration work.
