Strážný vrch Lookout Tower

The wooden lookout tower with a stone foundation was completed in 2006. From the top, a view of the Bohemian Central Mountains, the Lusatian and Jizera Mountains, Ralsko or the Ore Mountains opens up in front of you. There is also a fireplace under the lookout tower where you can roast your sandwiches 👍👍🍺🍺

"The lookout tower on Hutberg stands on a cone 601 m high above the village of Merboltice. The lookout tower offers a wide view of the surroundings, which you can enjoy whether you are looking at the peaks of the Bohemian Central Mountains, the Lusatian Mountains or the Bohemian Leipa region. However, Hutberg was without a lookout tower until 2005, when a small local construction company agreed to build it after long peripeteias due to poor access. In November 2006 it was opened to tourists. The tower can be reached from Merboltice via the local hiking trail (blue), you can leave your car in the village, the trail is about 1.5 km long. The nearest train station is Stary Šachov (Alt Šochov)"
