A short detour (a few meters) from the rope-insured path to / from the Hochvogel leads to the summit of the Kreuzspitze. The short detour is definitely recommended, as there is a beautiful view of the Prinz-Luitpold-Haus and the rocky ridges to the Wiedemer Kopf and the Fuchskar peaks.
