The Pi de les Tres Branques is a red pine (Pinus sylvestris) with three stems, 25 meters high and a perimeter at the base of the trunk of about 5 meters, in the middle of the Campllong plain (Castellar del Riu, the Berguedà). It is considered a symbol of the unity of the Catalan Countries: Catalonia, the Valencian Country and the Balearic Islands (three branches that leave symmetrically from a single trunk). [1] In 1987 it was declared a "monumental tree" [2]
