The market, city or Peter's church is already mentioned as a chapel in the founding document of the Eisenberg nunnery in 1219.
The church dates from the late Gothic period.

Mountain biking
A chapel is said to have stood here as early as the 12th century. It was cared for by the Cistercian nunnery, of which today's Klosterstraße still bears a resemblance. The current church building dates from 1583. A stone depicting the church's patron saint, St. Peter, is mounted above the southern entrance door.
