Embedded in the village of Kleinenbremen, the church of Kleinenbremen could well stand in a small French village. Its history goes back to the 10th century and at the end of the Second World War it even became a hiding place for the Prussian royal treasure. Not only Frederick the Great's tobacco trimmers were walled in under the cellar stairs, but also his Prussian royal crown.

A church was first mentioned in 1181, this was replaced in 1483. When it was demolished in 1893, only the lower part of the church tower survived. The neo-Gothic gallery hall with gabled transept-like rooms was built by Heinrich Hutze from 1893 to 1896 and inaugurated in 1896.
From 1944 to 1946 part of the Hohenzollern treasure was hidden in the church.

The pointed, proud 61-meter tower of the Kleinenbremen Protestant church can be seen from afar. The current church was built in neo-Gothic style between 1883 and 1896 on the foundations and remains of the late medieval village church from 1483 (including the lower part of the tower). The architect was the church builder Heinrich Hutze (1853-1913) from Barkhausen/Porta, who also designed the neo-Gothic churches of Lerbeck (1892) and Barkhausen (1899) as well as the former Bismarck Column (1902) on Jakobsberg. There was already a village chapel on this site in the 11th century.
