The Dürrensee - also called Lago di Landro - is located at an altitude of 1,400 meters and lies directly on the border of the two nature parks of Sesto Dolomites and Fanes-Sennes-Prags. From the lakeshore you have a fantastic view of the Cristallo mountain group and of course the turquoise lake water is not to be despised. Speaking of which: the lake is comparatively warm despite its height. There is absolutely nothing wrong with a refreshing swim on the pebble beach on the north bank. You can also fortify yourself at the lakeside restaurant.
