Along the pilgrim route that once traveled along Salento to Leuca, you will find Santa Eufemia, one of the oldest churches in this area, set in a landscape of great beauty, and also very interesting from a historical and archaeological point of view. . In a relatively small space, in fact, around this temple built between the 6th and 9th centuries, we will discover other traces of a distant time.

It was built during the period of the Byzantine domination of Salento, and has been recently restored, a work that has also seen the reconstruction of the original gable roof.

I didn't have the opportunity to visit it inside and there was no indication on the opening hours and days of the Church.
