In this small well house is the historic Elisabethquelle spring. It was discovered in 1839 and used as an iron-rich natural mineral water spring for drinking and bathing cures.

It was built in 1830 and has two drinking fountains to supply Rothenfels Castle with water. The supply line is made of wood, so-called Teuchel pipes. The building erected above the spring catchment was renovated in 1993.
