The tower must be preserved! The more than 150-year-old building stands on the 94-meter-high Hummelberg near Schönebeck in Saxony-Anhalt. Originally built as a summer house, this lookout tower with its wonderful view of the surroundings made the excursion destination on the Hummelberg with its inn and gardens even more attractive. After five years of use as an observatory, the tower was no longer used for around 60 years and it has been falling into disrepair to this day. This is finally over! Because thanks to the many donations, funding from the state of Saxony-Anhalt and support from the State Office for Monument Preservation and Archeology and the Lower Monument Protection Authority, we are saving this unique building. Click through these pages, maybe you like our task and would even like to be a part of it - we would be happy.Your association Hummelberg-Turm e. VSource: hummelberg-turm.de
