Tips
Legend has it that there was a spring where all the inhabitants of the place drew water to drink or wash clothes, every day except the day of Santa Barbara (December 4th).
A washerwoman ignored this tradition and while she was washing her clothes Santa Barbara appeared to her and with two Lightning bolts incinerated it.
The source for the outbreak broke and poured the water into the small basin at the foot of the mountain giving life to the Scalocchio Lake.
Today nothing remains of the old lake, only the shrine with the image of Santa Barbara that the inhabitants wanted to erect.translated by
