The Col d'Ayous is located at the foot of the eponymous peak, at an altitude of 2,188 meters. It allows you to reach the Aspe valley from the Ossau valley. On the way to the pass, you can admire the magnificent Ayous lakes and their refuge on the eastern slope.

One of the most beautiful passes in the Pyrenees with a fantastic view of Pic du Midi d'Ossau. For me, this pass was the first milestone on my 75-day Pyrenees crossing from the Atlantic to the Mediterranean. Anyone who has stood here once when the weather is nice will want to come back. 🤩
