Between 1723 and 1753, south-east of Jesberg and connected to the castle and its baroque park by an avenue of oak trees, what is still known today as the "Princess Garden" was created at the request of the four daughters of Prince Maximilian of Hesse-Kassel. In the center of the complex rises the "princess garden oak" that certainly already existed at the time, but is now slightly slanted in the middle of a wreath of now decrepit hornbeams, which used to form a walkway around the oak. The oak and the remains of the avenue are natural monuments.
