On the farm of the Schreinicke family, the water mill was operated from pieces from the 15th century until the 1930s. The mill was located opposite the former Stücken manor house (the "castle") on the northern edge of Dorfstrasse, the historic core of the manor village.
The first documented mention of a water mill, "which runs in front of our village of Stycken" dates from the year 1438. The roots of the Schreinicke family in Stücken go back to the 18th century.
