After the First World War, probably in 1918, the two Reichenbachers Emil Völkel and Reinhold Kornmann set this stone. They are said to have been lumberjacks and nature lovers.
On its front is the saying:

"Whoever beats this stone three times,
it will be over a hundred years old. "

On the back there is also a saying which refers to the front, but it is difficult to read.

According to tradition, both are said to have set this stone out of frustration at the flood of monuments after World War I. Other sources suggest that this is just done on a whim
