Wanderung zur Mühlenbake in Swinemünde
Heute lassen wir das Auto stehen und fahren mit der Bahn nach Swinemünde.

Our second stop on the Day of the Open Monument led us to Haus Schulenburg.
This impressive villa was built in 1913/14 according to plans by the Belgian architect and designer Henry van de Velde on behalf of the textile manufacturer and art collector Paul Schulenburg.

In the Otto Dix City Gera, the Museum Night took place today for the 27th time.

A small stroll around the harbor in Kassiopi. The weather held up, apart from a few short showers, even better than forecast.
Sweet little harbor with tavernas, cafes, bars ... and towering over everything is the ruin of a castle from Byzantine times.

Today's tour was a complete contrast to yesterday's coastal hike.
The village of Nymfes is located in the north of the island of Corfu at an altitude of 148 meters above sea level.

During our hike along a coastal path, we passed 5 wonderful beaches. We started the tour at Kaminaki Beach and returned from Kalami Beach.
Don't be surprised, one of the beaches goes right through a hotel complex. Unfortunately, you also pass a large construction site where a new hotel is being built

A small afternoon tour to the summit of the highest mountain on the island of Corfu. Perfectly timed between gaps in the clouds 😉👍
We were able to enjoy wonderful views of blooming mountain meadows, Old Peritia, Kerkyra, green olive groves, the coastlines, and the sea 🌊.

We hike from Agios Spiridon beach over a small bridge and then along the cliff path, which should only be walked with sturdy footwear. Here you can watch the cruise ships sailing through the passage between Albania and Corfu. ⛴️ 🛳

Due to a booked "boat trip into the sunset", we drove to the west side of the island in the morning. Since we had never visited this popular resort before, we made it an extensive "Paleokastritsa day".

As the sky had opened its floodgates and a strong wind was blowing, this was a good option. Narrow alleys, colorful souvenir shops, tavernas, and all sorts of historic buildings made for an entertaining holiday. 😊

In the rectory there was a small guided tour through the colorful farmhouse garden and a cup of coffee & cake.
