The natural treasure of Oldenburg Wall Lehmrade is still a mystical and mysterious place. It's worth a look there.
This Slavic ring wall from the 8th century is in itself a prominent point in the landscape. But every year from late September to mid-November it invites you to a special spectacle. From here, cranes can be observed approaching their overnight accommodation every evening. The opposite Oldenburg lake is one of the most important meeting points in Schleswig-Holstein. In several groups, hundreds or more birds of happiness move over the heads of the observers when dusk falls.
