The Badger Trail is a favorite for locals. At the end of Badgers is Castle Rock Trail, on which you can continue to the Castle Rock with its beautiful views overlooking Golden Valley. I was advised to watch out for rattlesnakes, which are obviously very common in the area. At the beginning near the trailhead, you can hear the noise of the freeway as the trail starts right next to it.
