Hidden vlei is what the name suggests: hidden. And therefore not as crowded as Dead Vlei.
The starting point is the first parking lot; you can drive a “normal” car up to this point.
The path is only recommended in the morning or evening as it offers no shade. Drinks and hats are a must. Appropriate footwear too.
Poles point the way, making it easy to find.
Important: there is a toilet at the parking lot - definitely better than at Dead Vlei! Not fully functional but clean and looked after

Good hike to do after visiting the dead vlei at sunrise. Take some water and a hat. It’s accessible by 2-wheel drive
