Location: Ormont, Vulkaneifel, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany
The wooden walkway leads you cleanly and safely through the Bragphenn high moor. The Bragphenn south of Ormont is a saddle rain high moor, which was probably formed 7000 years ago and whose sensitive wet areas can be passed over a footbridge. Peat used to be extracted there.
Numerous rare and interesting plants thrive in the small moor, from the Atlantic bell heather, cranberry, orchid, swamp blood-eye to sundew, from pointed rush to spotted orchid.

Almost like in the High Fens in Belgium, we walk here on a beautiful wooden footbridge through the high moor near Ormont. The Bragphenn is definitely a worthwhile hiking destination.
