On the outskirts of the village of Ormont, located in the far north of Rhineland-Palatinate, a short section of the hiking trail features the remains of tank traps (sometimes colloquially referred to as dragon's teeth). The Cologne Trojan Way of St. James and the Matthias Way pass along this route.

The Siegfried Line was a military defense system spread over about 630 km along the western border of the German Empire, which consisted of over 18,000 bunkers, tunnels and countless trenches and anti-tank barriers.
