The Planet Trail was beautifully designed. Not only were the individual planets considered in relation to their distance from the sun, but the relative sizes of the spheres are also clearly visible. The trail is 6 km long, starts at the 🅿️ Haus Pröbsting and ends at the Josef Bresser Observatory. The Planet Trail for adults has existed since 2009 and was created by the "Sternfreunde Borken eV" (Stern Friends Borken eV). The Children's Planet Trail was created in September 2024 as part of the "Planet Summer" project at the initiative of the Research Transfer Office at the University of Münster. In addition to the University of Münster, the project partners included the city of Borken and the Sternfreunde Borken eV (Stern Friends Borken eV).
Incidentally, BRESSER, the market leader for telescopes, etc., is headquartered in the town of Rhede, 7.6 km away.
