Nice point of view on the point. The beach on Île Vierge, very popular for its turquoise water, has been closed to the public since 2020. For good reason: its access on a steep and slippery path, considered too dangerous.

Too bad, the Ile Vierge is permanently closed - there were probably too many people to spice up their Insta...

We would have actually told you one of our favorite places here – to your right is the tiny peninsula of Île Vierge with its striking rock arch at your feet. For us, its small pebble beach with almost Caribbean-turquoise blue water is one of the most beautiful places in Brittany. Unfortunately, this once untouched and idyllic insider tip fell victim to an internet phenomenon: In 2014, the small bay was voted the "seventh most beautiful beach in Europe" based on a photo posted on an internet site - including how to get there. The result was a veritable mass of tourists who headed for the stretch of coast from the parking lot not far away, dared the always dangerous descent down to the water's edge - and not only overcrowded the tiny bay, but also continued to destroy the edge. And so the authorities took action a few years ago and completely banned the descent to the water. Numerous signs indicate this. But we think the view of the small bay from above is beautiful.
