The Cemetery stands on land donated by the Italian State to the British Empire and houses the remains of 417 soldiers of the imperial army surrounded by a splendid English lawn. On this lawn, one can also admire the Stone of Remembrance, an altar on which is engraved the phrase "Their names liveth for evermore", meaning "Their name liveth for evermore".
