Remnants of the former Klumpermühle (the rattling of a mill wheel was used to mean the rattling of a mill wheel in earlier times) can be seen here, the description of the history and the mill can be read on the well-made display board. The Klumpermühle was one of 3 mills in the Klumpertal and was demolished in 1965 because it was dilapidated.

There is not much left... some foundation walls, a cellar... and still a fine destination

Some remains of the wall, almost completely overgrown by nature, can still be seen. It was built in 1580 by Lorenz von Guttenberg (owner of the castle Kühlenfels). Operations ceased in 1926.
