This slate church is very well restored and a real eye-catcher. It is a very nice example of typical local architecture.

The slate-clad wooden church of St. Benedict in Sieber is a gem. It was built in 1887 in the then contemporary Nordic style and thus replaced a 200-year-old smaller predecessor. Pulpit, altar, lectern, stalls and gallery are from the Sieberian carpenter Karl Reuper. The beautiful stained glass windows above the altar were used by the Sieberian glass grinder Karl Bruns. The outer lining was made with Harz natural slate. It has a bells made of three bronze bells of captivating clarity and with a large sound volume. The organ, which was restored in 2008, has been completely redesigned with the reuse of the historic Engelhardt case and, with its now 27 stops and over 1,500 pipes, sets an organ accent of a special kind.

The tower clock was donated in the year of construction in 1887 by the community and 1968 by a member of the parish council thoroughly overhauled, so that it goes flawlessly to this day.
