At first glance, the town doesn't seem like much, because it is surrounded by several 1960s buildings with questionable architecture to say the least. Entering the centre, however, you find a typical mountain village, well preserved/restored, with various points of interest. The parish church is worth a visit. The square in front is a good spot to rest, and there are several bars and cafes that can provide a base. It is worth crossing it all following the old road, avoiding the ring road.
