In 1980, fire brigade members under KDT Willibald Hammerbacher designed the Florianiplatz in numerous hours of work on the Fatima mountain, not far from the Fatima statue. On June 28, 1981, a field mass was celebrated on Florianiplatz and a life-size plaster statue of St. Florian was blessed. This statue was badly damaged over the years due to the weather and was replaced by a stone figure on May 4th, 2000.
