The oldest mention of the water mill is from the year 1303. In 1686 the mill was completely rebuilt and from then on was known as Plekenpolse mill. The mill is a double undershot corn and oil mill. The grist mill was used for grinding rye, oats and wheat. The oil mill produced oil from linseed, rapeseed, rapeseed and hut tuft.
